I guess it's safe to say na ang pinakamabili sa market ngayon ng Philippine literature ay ang romance novels. Siguro, romantic at hearts lang talaga tayo. Or possibly, it's the easiest on our reach. Nevertheless, we enjoy reading them. At least I know I do. I've come across people who do not consider tagalog pocketbooks as members of literature. Well, I beg to disagree. They may not be Tolstoy or Nabokov or Angelou, but they're still written works of art. Pinagpaguran, ginugulan ng oras, iniyakan. Plus it's fun. You get to explore the Philippines and other places through the vision of another Filipino.
Hindi rin alintana na hindi lahat ng mambabasa mo ay maaari mong i-please, that's a given for writers. So sa ating dear writers, this blog does not aim to demote your works. Criticize, sure, but never demote. And for what it's worth, I'm just one person. Everything that will be written here is, of course, to my bias.
Like any other readers, I'm also just another reader. Walang degree sa expert critiquing whatsoever. This may be of help. Or not. At the end of the day, this blog is here because your work matters.
Happy lurking.
